Linkin Park Goes China

BEIJING, Sept. 16 -- U.S. rock band Linkin Park will arrive at the Shanghai stop of their world tour concert on Nov. 18.

The band will be performing in Shanghai's Hong Kou Football Stadium.

Linkin Park released their third music album "Minutes to Midnight" in May, and later kicked off their world tour concert, which has been staged in Europe and the United States.

It's the first time that the rock band has held a concert on the Chinese mainland.

Tickets for the concert will go on sale starting from Sept. 18. The band is reported to have set a relatively affordable ticket price for its Shanghai stop, with the average price set at around 500 yuan, or about 66 U.S. dollars, and the lowest at only 100 yuan, about 13 U.S. dollars.

Halo 3 And LP

LP On SpikeTV For Halo 3
9/24/07
Linkin Park will perform just after midnight on Tuesday, September 25th on SpikeTV as part of the channel's Halo 3 launch event special.

The game, which sponsors LP's Projekt Revolution tour, will hit shelves midnight, and SpikeTV is live from Best Buy's flagship store in New York City to capture all of the excitement. The channel will be airing Goldeneye from 9:00PM EST to 12:30AM, checking in during breaks to talk about Halo 3. At 12:30, their "Halo 3: Launched!" program airs, which is presumably when the performance may be aired.

It's unclear whether the Linkin Park performance was pre-taped or if it will be happening live in NYC or not. Regardless, you can tune in after midnight to watch the band perform, and perhaps even comment on the release of Halo 3; a game of which many of the band members are avid fans.
